US believes ISIS leader al-Baghdadi still alive, despite Iraqi airstrike claim
2015-10-13
[FOXNEWS] U.S. military officials believe that His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...formerly merely the head of ISIL and a veteran of the Bagram jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us...
, the leader of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group (ISIS), is still alive, despite claims by the Iraqi military Sunday that its air force struck a convoy carrying the terror leader.

A statement Sunday said "the Iraqi air force carried out a heroic operation targeting the convoy of the criminal terrorist Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi" as he made his way to a meeting in the town of Karablah, in Iraq's western Anbar province. The statement says al-Baghdadi's fate and whereabouts are not known.

A U.S. military source told Fox News that al-Baghdadi did not appear to have been hit in the Arclight airstrike. Another U.S. official told Fox News that Iraqi officials were collecting DNA from the scene of the strikes.

The official added that the convoy targeted by the Iraqis resembled those in which al-Baghdadi moved around and operated.

Iraqi Defense Ministry front man Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasool told the News Agency that Dare Not be Named the military is still investigating whether al-Baghdadi was in the convoy that was struck.

#6  Thanks for remembering that detail for me, Pappy. The concern when he was first injured was that he couldn't be a proper caliph if he was incapable of physically leading the troops. Clearly they'd found a sympathetic ruling somewhere.

#4  No word on whether or not he was injured (again.)

Hadn't he already become a paraplegic or something, Pappy?

#1  So "Cockroach" Al-Baghdadi escaped his eternal punishmentreward. Time to pay the person who washes his turban to push a GPS tracker dot in it.
