This is not something that was intuitively obvious to me when I started submitting articles, and I still seek guidance in some cases to this day. Most of us are not trained intelligence analysts, after all. The second part of Fred's response is also important. He wrote In fact most if not all of us here share her opinion. So your instinct was not wrong. It's just that the article you submitted doesn't meet Rantburg standards for the reasons Fred stated. Your own yellow highlighted "Dunno," suggests you were a bit tentative about the thing as well, yes? You'll have noticed, I hope, that a respectable percentage of the articles you submit here get published. Now you know why some of the others have not been. Carry on, please! |
