OK, I guess I have to admit that my family is fairly functional after all.A TWISTED son murdered his own parents and had sex with their corpses before eating their remains.
After killing his mother Miryam Kowalczuk, 50 and stepfather Richard Klein, sick Leandro Acosta chopped up their bodies and ate some of their remains before feeding the rest to the family's six dog.
The 25-year-old claims his stepsister Karen Klein - who is also his lover - helped dispose of the bodies.
According to Acosta's lawyer, he carried out the sick crime because his stepfather had abused him and his 11-year-old siblings.
Acosta and Klein have defended their actions saying that although the abuse they experienced was in the past, they discovered to their horror that the dead couple had been abusing the two children they had together - 11-year-old twins.
They claim they reported the crime to the police and when nothing happened they decided to take the law into their own hands.
The pair waited until the twins were at school before they carried out the mindless killings in their family home in the city of Pilar, the Buenos Aires.
Klein says her stepbrother Acosta shot his stepfather while he was asleep and then shot his mother in the head as she walked in the door.
The victim's brother Roberto Klein said: "My brother was a difficult man, with little time for his children.
"There has always been resentment between him and his stepson and I believe this was a long time coming."
Monica Chirivin, defending, told the court it was "almost a pleasure" for Acosta.
She said: "He does not feel remorse and in fact describes a state of relief for a burden he has felt since childhood.
"He told me he ate a bit of the corpse. For him it was almost a pleasure."
The victim's bodies were only discovered when a relative alerted police after he couldn't gain entry to their home.
Police made the grim discovery of pieces of a female pelvis and vertebra column in an old paint bucket on the terrace.
Rubbish bags which were taken to a nearby waste ground by the twisted couple are being analysed by the crime squad.
