She made the remarks at the Sylhet Osmani International Airport during her brief stay yesterday afternoon on her way back to Dhaka from the USA.

"When the country is on track to gain importance to other nations, a vested interest has been staging some unpleasant incidents in the country to tarnish the country's dignity.

"The countrymen and party [Awami League] activists should stay alert about the conspirators," the prime minister was quoted as saying by former Sylhet City Corporation mayor and ruling party leader Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran.
