| Baghdad Operations announces the death of ISIS Mufti of North Baghdad [IraqiNews] Baghdad -- Baghdad Operations Command announced on Tuesday the death of the legitimate Mufti of north Baghdad state and the arrest of two "terrorists" in Tarmiya district north of the capital. Operations Commander Abdul Amir al-Shammari said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, "we received information at dawn, today, about the existence of a hideout for snuffies on the outskirts of the district." | #2 ISIS appoints a mufti (designated interpreter of sharia) for those areas it controls or nearly controls. ISIS gives their mufti a title of 'legitimate mufti' to indicate that their mufti has the force of ISIS behind them to back up his sharia rulings. |
