Speaker Boner Boehner Out at End of October
2015-09-25

Speaker John A. Boehner will resign from Congress and give up his House seat at the end of October, according to aides in his office.

Mr. Boehner was under extreme pressure from the right wing of his conference over whether or not to defund Planned Parenthood in a bill to keep the government open.

#21  I was thinking along the lines that Ace put out, that the Dems would vote for Boehner, but disagree that the position would be compromised, but that the fix would be too obvious to cover up.

#19  #15 OP, I would love to see Trey Gowdy as PRESIDENT.

Every g-d leftist's head would explode - simultaneously. :-D

#18  Sam Rayburn's corpse would be more effective (even for the Trunks), humm Jeremy Bentham might be available, he's solid and has years of experience.

#17  Who realistically has a shot at getting enough votes to replace him? The the entrenched establishment have enough people to control everything?

#16  Glad he's gone, but he'll probably be replaced with another piece of Establishment suck.

Most likely McCarthy.

#13  Soooo.....Obama has a find a new sex toy?

I'm sure there are plenty of other pus-filled-toys in the barn. Unfortunately.

I'm afraid this is just changing of the guard. Boehner's usefulness is suffering diminishing returns these days. If they wait much longer people might be so pissed off they might kick him out and replace him with someone not of the establishment RINO's choosing.

A space angle on Speaker Boehner’s resignation: House Maj Leader Kevin McCarthy, one candidate to become Speaker, is very pro-comm’l space.

#10  Lesse... Pope speaks to Congress, Boner announces he's quitting.
The blood moon finally takes a scalp.

#7  Boenher seems to be a likable kind of a guy, just not a very effective Speaker. When you have a majority in the House and the Senate you must control the purse strings. He didn't get the job done.

#6  Ryan and McCarthy are not the guys for the job. They are not true Conservatives. Hopefully we will see some leadership with a spine AND leadership that does not charge a $80K gate fee to have legislation put on the floor.

#5  Can he carry McConnell's bag on the way out as well? I would like to see them both admit failure.

#2  Hopefully this is the shakeup the party needs and not the one it deserves.

#1  Hopefully his successor won't continue Boehner's war on conservatives.
