| Dand-e-Ghori On Verge Of Turning Into Taliban Hub: Officials |

| [Tolo News] Just days after the signing of a controversial deal between the government and Dand-e-Ghori residents in Baghlan province, officials from the local provincial council said that the area is already under the Taliban's control and that the turbans plan to turn the region into a stronghold. They say the turbans plan to use Dand-e-Ghori to launch attacks on other parts of the province. "The Taliban flag is waving there and the voice of their anthems which they play over loudspeakers can be heard. They invite the people towards them and they implement their law in Dand-e-Ghori," said Zarif Zarif, member of Baghlan Provincial Council. "There are thousands of Taliban fighters in Postak bazaar which is their main hub and they perform anti-government activities from there. They are planning to conduct attacks against the Afghan forces from that area," he added.
