| Somalia soldiers seize Shaboobs |

| Somalia’s regional South-West administration forces have launched huge operation against Al Shabaab militants in parts of Diinsoor town in Bay province, officials said. Sheikh Mohamed, commander of South-West administration forces told Shabelle Media that the operation was meant confirm the overall security in the town. Mohamed added that several suspected Al Shabaab militants had been detained during the crackdown by its troops. The detained people were on suspicion of Al Shabaab affiliates have been taken to police station for interrogations, according to an interview with Commander Sheikh Ali. Diinsoor was a strategic town for Al Shabaab which has been captured by Somalia national army supported by African Union mission for Somalia (AMISOM) forces. The Somalia army, along with AMISOM forces librated several key towns from Al Shabaab insurgents in a new military offensive that started in south and central Somalia. |
