| Three Police Killed in Taliban Attack in Herat |

| [Tolo News] Three coppers were killed in a Taliban attack in western Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... province on Tuesday night, local officials said Wednesday. In addition two other coppers were maimed and another is missing. The incident took place in Chesht district of the province after a number of Taliban gunnies attacked a police check post and clashed with police, Ghulaam Rasoul Khan Police Chief of Chesht said. The Taliban gunnies fled the area after the attack, Rasoul Khan said. However, today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday... the Taliban have not yet commented on the attack. |
