[Telegraph] The British Armed Forces are set to get involved in the Calais migrant crisis for the first time in order to keep the roads clear ahead of a weekend of chaos, Whitehall sources said.
Does the British military have the manpower for this job? I'm just asking given all the cut-backs...
Military planners are considering opening up barracks to relieve roads in Kent blocked by lorries unable to cross the Channel.

Ministry of Defence land around Folkestone would be used as temporary lorry parks under the proposal, to reduce congestion which has blocked miles of motorway for days.
Who could have predicted the Chunnel would eventually result in such a cock-up? Just about anyone I reckon.

#1  It is most interesting that the French decline to do much on their side of the Chunnel, the real source of the problem.
