| Explosion rocks Taluqan city in northeastern Takhar province |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] A relatively heavy kaboom rocked Taluqan city in northeastern Badakhshan province this afternoon leaving at least 10 people maimed. The incident took place near the provincial criminal investigation department with eyewitnesses in the area saying at least 10 people including coppers, women and kiddies were maimed. Officials in provincial hospital confirmed that two coppers, a child and a woman were taken to the hospital for treatment following the incident. The type of the kaboom is not clear so far as the local security officials have not commented regarding the incident yet. |
