#10  Found it. They could carry an additional three people. About right.

#9  Not much on Wake then. Don't know about now. Very small. Wrecks visible in the (what I suppose was a) lagoon. Many.

#8  They could carry a fair sized crew beyond normal stations but the ones I saw may have been unpressurized. I almost got a ride out in one, but didn't have hypo qual. Long story, but got stuck on Wake when my CL-44 ride crash landed on landing on Wake (a mostly landing crash). They took pity but the hypo qual lack was a no go. Great people. Gave me great insight into Raf types. Uniforms made from used horse blankets as I recall tho. Saw maybe 12 (or more?) Vulcans land and pick up the other survivors. Beautiful sight. I had to hitch hike off Wake. Which took a while.

#7  The Brits had better be sure of their budget cuts/decisions ... ...

* BIGNEWSNETWORK > [Daily Mail.UK] UK MILITARY BOSSES [Civie Heads + Service Chiefs] COMPARE "FEEBLE" BRITAIN'S INACTION IN IRAQ + SYRIA TO APPEASEMENT OF ADOLF HITLER IN THE 1930'S [Munich etc.] - AND WARN THE GOVT. NOT TO CUT THEIR BUDGETS ANY FURTHER.

#6  Yep, Thunderball. Hell of an artistic looking aircraft, like the pulp-sci-fi type things.

#5  Even made appearance in a James Bond movie - 'Thunderball' I believe.

#4  For some reason I imagined Spook with suicide belt.
