JI chief announces Rs1bn bounty for Modi's arrest
2015-06-03
[DAWN] RAWALAKOT: Jamaat-e-Islami
...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
(JI) chief Senator Sirajul Haq
...current head of the Pak Jamaat-e-Islami. Siraj was born in 1962 and entered politics shortly after that...
on Monday announced Rs1 billion reward for anyone who arrests Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing a gathering in Azad Jammu and Kashmire (AJK)'s Rawalakot region, the JI chief said that India has failed to arrest Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin despite keeping a reward on his arrest.

"I want to say to Modi that you and your agents cannot arrest Salahuddin. And you say whoever will arrest Salahuddin, we will give him Rs 50 crore. I too say that whoever arrests Modi, we will give him Rs1 billion," he added.
That's supposed to be an inside joke, I think, since Syed Salahuddin lives in Pakistain.
The JI chief was also critical of federal government for granting India the status of 'Most favoured nation (MFN)'.

"Unless Kashmire issue is resolved, anyone who tries to befriend India is a traitor to both Pakistain and Kashmire," he said, adding that, "If you want the friendship of Hindustan, then go to Hindustan, to Delhi and to Mumbai, there is no place for you in Islamabad."

Haq blamed Modi for killing hundreds of civilians in Jammu and Kashmire and Gujrat and slammed the government for not paying heed to Indian atrocities in Jammu and Kashmire.
