2015-05-08
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Salafist tough guys in Eastern Ghouta district near Damascus have released three hostages, including mother and son, after 17 months of captivity, rebel group and Husband said.

On Wednesday, the Islamic Union of Ajnad al-Sham active, in statement posted online, said the release of Helena Nasr, Sarjon Khieu and Amjad Daoud was "In response to the mediation of (veteran journalist at Al Jazeera) Dr. Faisal Kasim, Mr. Maher Sharaf al-Din and after long tours with the (Bashar) al-Assad regime and the intervention of several international parties."

Helena and her son Sarjon were taken captive in January 2014 when Salafist tough guys overrun Adra al-Ommaliya city north of Damascus.
