Dozens of Hezbollah fighters killed by Fatah Army in Qalamoun
2015-05-08
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Army of Fatah in Qalamoun on Wednesday has killed more than 40 Hezbollah fighters, including two senior commanders, near the Lebanese border, rebel Twitter feeds said.

The newly alliance led by Syria's al-Qaeda wing, the Nusra Front, has inflicted humiliating defeats on Bashir al-Assad froces and its allied Lebanese militia Hezbollah in Assal al-Ward and Jibba near the northeastern border town of Arsal, field sources said.

Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV claimed that dozens of Islamist hard boyz killed and maimed in a Syrian army attack Thursday near the border with Leb, according to The Daily Star.

A Hezbollah attack in the Syrian Qalamoun border region killed three Islamist commanders Wednesday, also according to the Hezbollah channel.

Wednesday's attack comes one day after a Hezbollah ambush on a Nusra convoy which killed at least 15 fighters on the outskirts of the Lebanese border enclave of Tfail, a security source told The Daily Star.

Early this week, Nusra has deployed thousands of fighters who fanned out in areas near the Lebanese border. The fighters took up positions overlooking Hezbollah and Syrian army outposts in the towns of Wadi Barada, Al-Kfeir, Zabadani, Serghaya and Hreira.

Activists said on Tuesday that Hezbollah field commander, Ali Khalil al-Alayan, has been killed in Qalamoun battles.
