| Army condemns brutal slaying of Thai couple |

| [Bangkok Post] Thai officials today condemned the killing of a couple who were slain when gunmen opened fire on their vehicle and set it ablaze. Army units are looking for the murderers who shot Sanphet Kanchanathep and his wife Nopparat while they were returning to their home in Yala province Wednesday afternoon. Duty officer Bundhit Sada said that as the couple's truck was passing through Bannang Sata district gunmen ambushed them, killing both. The attackers dragged their bodies out of the truck, set them on fire and fled. |
