| US, allies target Daesh with 20 air strikes in Iraq, Syria |

| WASHINGTON - The United States and its allies have launched 20 air strikes targeting Daesh militants in Iraq and Syria since early on Friday, the Combined Joint Task Force leading the operations said on Saturday. There were seven air strikes in Syria using attack and bomber aircraft near Kobani and Al Hasakah and 13 in Iraq using fighter and attack aircraft as well as drones near Bayji, Ramadi, Al Asad, Fallujah, Sinjar, Hit and Tal Afar, it said in a statement. |

| #1 who did we target? Islamic State Why do we call them Daesh? The intelligence agencies don't want to anger regional "allies" like Saudi Arabia Why should we ignore this? Because it is dishonest, the group's name is "Islamic state" and those regional "allies" are best dealt with by confronting the fact that we are at war with fascist Islamism and they'd better clean out their houses because we are really at war with them, too |
