[PowerLineBlog] Subsequent to the news story about Larry Reid's arrest, Elliott discussed with several others who had been present on New Year's Eve his belief that "Larry" had been Larry Reid. They, too, recognized Larry from the newspaper photograph. One of those who had been present at the AA meeting called Las Vegas's Channel 8 to tell them about Larry Reid's account of fighting with a family member, but that person said that whoever he spoke with at the television station told him they were not interested.

#13  Don't think any of them was a counselor (life coach is different,) but I've been told it's against the rules. Then again, distaste for the Reids there is probably pretty intense.

#6  It does answer a lot of questions about why Harry hasn't been going after anyone or making a big deal about it.

It also makes a perfect cover story as Harry comes out looking like a hero for not going after his drunk brother.

What is strange is an AA councelor relating stories about AA meetings. Isn't that strictly forbidden even if the info is totally juicy stuff?

#2  I wonder if a roll of coins (denomination determined by the size of the hand) or brass knuckles were involved? That was a lot of damage for a bare or empty hand even if Harry is getting old and fragile.

#1  Personally speaking, light on the salt on this one - I have little, if any, doubt that Reid got his ass handed to him by somebody other than a big freakin' rubber band on his 'exercise equipment' in his, ahem, bathroom. If Larry's left-handed, there's your answer.
