| #4 The US/ROK/UN forces pushed them back to basically the Chinese/Russian borders which in effect unified the place. Then those pesky Chinese showed up. |

| #3 Remember, SK was formed as a Russian buffer zone to keep them from Japan. The 38th was created as a Soviet control. The Chinese didn't intervene as Soviet allies until after the US/UN cut off/pushed back the NK surge to the south. |
