Bodies recovered in Peshawar identified as Bacha Khan airport attackers

The bodies, which were found at a nullah in Peshawar's Mattani area, were recognised as Commander Noor Mohammad, Commander Kemya Gul and Commander Sher Muhammad -- all of whom were wanted for being the criminal masterminds of the fatal attack.

According to sources, the three men were also suspected to be involved in the rocket attacks on the Sheikh Muhammadi grid station near Peshawar which left seven people dead on April 2, 2013.

A front man for the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain had claimed the credit for the attack on Bacha Khan Airport, saying their target was the air force base.

The seven killed in the attack included five Lions of Islam while 40 people suffered injuries, according to government officials.
