[Ynet] Egyptian security sources claimed on Monday that Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, terror cells had planned to carry out attacks during New Year's Eve celebrations in the Sinai desert in order to lead to "anarchy" in the peninsula, according to a report by the Al-Youm Al-Sabi newspaper.
The report came in view of the incident which occurred last Friday in which a Paleostinian was killed by gunfire near the Egyptian border between Sinai and Gazoo. According to the newspaper, the Paleostinian who was killed was a Hamas operative who had tried to illegally cross the border along with three other Hamas operatives who gave themselves up.
So the dead 17 23 year old lad wasn't desperately seeking work, but was gainfully employed as a trained killer? This is not going to help the Mamluks look favourably on opening their border crossing |
