Outrage in India after Pakistani court grants bail 26/11 mastermind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi
2014-12-18
NEW DELHI: India on Thursday reacted very strongly on the bail granted to Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, one of the masterminds behind 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

The home ministry in a statement said: "It's very unfortunate, especially as it comes just after the Peshawar massacre. Pakistan must appeal in the next court. Pakistan needs to show more seriousness in taking 26/11 case trial to its logical conclusion."

#1  "Forget it, Jake. It's Pakistain."

I'm starting to think that the key to understanding Pakistain is not to think of it as a nation-state, but rather a collection of warring groups and tribes whose interests occasionally align.

I know nothing about the capabilities of the Indian intelligence services or their wet-work abilities, but if they can't do the job themselves perhaps they can outsource the work to a sympathetic local faction. Or is messing with India the one thing that everyone agrees on and defines Pakistain as a nation?
