| Policeman's son gunned down in southern Thailand |

| [Bangkok Post] A high school student was killed and a second is in critical condition in hospital after they were attacked by gunmen while riding home on a motorcycle in Pattani province on Thursday evening. The slain 17-year-old was the son of a local policeman. They were attacked by two men on a motorcycle while returning home from school in Yaring district on Thursday evening. Police suspect insurgent involvement in the murder, which followed the provincial court’s ruling on Thursday sentencing five militants to death for gunning down four soldiers and seriously injuring two others in an attack in July 2012. |
