2014-11-08
[Iraq News] On Thursday, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced that the Iraqi security agencies had collaborated with the French intelligence in an operation leading to the arrest of 200 ISIS cells in Paris.

The deputy of Iraqi Interior Minister, Adnan al-Asadi said, âThe cooperation between the two intelligence agencies has been made secretly, leading to the arrest of 200 ISIS cells in Paris. The French authorities tracked information and phone calls last week that led to the arrest of the sleeper cells.â

#3  200 cells phones I'd believe.

#2  200 is a nice round number.
No mention of the size or composition of the cells.
I was thinking branch nodes of 3-5 leaves with one as the handler and 2-4 sleeper operatives, perhaps in teams of 3.
That rounds out to 600 heads. There would be a lot more exposure for an event of that size.

#1  I wonder what they will do with them. Can they convict them of much? If so, how long can they hold them? Then what? Might be better to just fly them to Baghdad and let them go, with no 'right of return' or passports. (I don't suppose they could just fly them OVER Baghdad and let them go...)
