| Three days of clashes leave 250 dead in south Yemen |

| [Iran Press TV] At least 250 people have been killed in festivities between al-Qaeda-linked holy warriors and Houthi ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to Americaâ¢, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews... fighters in Yemen's southern province of al-Bayda over the past three days, security officials say. The death figure came as the Houthi movement's Ansarullah fighters gained more ground in battles against al-Qaeda-linked holy warriors in the center of the country on Monday. Latest reports said the fighters managed to secure parts of the town of Rada' in the province of al-Bayda by flushing out the holy warrior Lion of Islams. Ansarullah fighters also flushed out the Takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed... holy warriors from the southwestern Yemeni town of Yarim in the Ibb Province over the weekend. The fighters have already taken some other parts of the Arab world's poorest country and have also clashed with al-Qaeda Lion of Islams. They have been trying to drive out the holy warriors in order to restore security to the country. |
