Britain's Labour Party Facing Rebellion Over Recognition Of Palestine Vote
2014-10-12
[Ynet] The leaders of the British Labour party are facing a potential revolt over the imposition of a whip for a symbolic vote Monday on the unilateral recognition of the state of Paleostine.

According to the British media, some of the party's shadow ministers are outraged at being told by leader Ed Miliband how to vote on the issue, saying they support recognition only as part of a peace agreement.
There has always been a Jewish contingent in Labour -- union workers, socialists of various flavours, and of course Guardian readers. The leftwing anti-Zionism/antisemitism of recent years won't have sat well with them at all.
