Company In Which Joe Biden's Son Is Director Prepares To Drill Shale Gas In East Ukraine |
2014-07-26 |
[ZeroHedge] Recall what we said earlier today: the proxy Ukraine war just like that in Syria preceding it, "is all about energy." Recall also the following chart showing Ukraine's shale gas deposits, keeping in mind that the Dnieper-Donets basin which lies in the hotly contested eastern part of the nation and where as everyone knows by now a bloody civil war is raging, is the major oil and gas producing region of Ukraine accounting for approximately 90 per cent of Ukrainian production and according to EIA may have 42 tcf of shale gas resources technically recoverable from 197 tcf of risked shale gas in place. |

#5 Some significant gas potential in the Ukraine offshore Black Sea. Maybe oil too. |

#4 Iff eastern Ukraine has enough Nat Gas to free them from Russian supplies, then Russia has no leverage. That's why Putin is going there - because if he fails, then he will be left only with military options, which would bring massive repercussions domestically and internationally. |

#3 Its only a problem for the Donks when it's Republicans and companies such as Haliburton; otherwise no problemo. It's that double-standard thing. |

#2 So our foreign policy is essentially a business plan for cronies...gasp...I am shocked I tell you shocked by this implication. Of course that would explain a lot, but maybe not, there is a lot of oil and gas in Iraq some Democratic contributor would love to get his hands on...maybe George is working a deal with the Kurds? Who knows but the dollar is the language of this administration. |
