[Ynet] The United Nations Human Rights Council agreed on Wednesday to launch an international inquiry into violations that may have been committed during Israel's latest military offensive in Gaza. At the end of an emergency session, the 47-member Geneva state forum adopted a resolution presented by Palestinians by a vote of 29 states in favour, 1 against (the United States) with 17 abstentions (including some European Union members).

#3 Just like in the NFL when the guy committing the foul doesn't get called for a sucker punch or a late hit and the guy who retaliates gets the flag. The UN is completely morally bankrupt. |

#2 Ozzie Saffa excerpt: The United Nations Human Rights Council will launch an inquiry via an international committee into alleged war crimes committed by Israel in the most recent round of Gaza fighting - 22 member states voted in favour of the inquiry. Really? Where's the inquiry into HAMAS??? Where's an inquiry into how they use civilians as human shields, and instruct women and children NOT to leave an area about to be bombed by Israel - after Israel WARNS them the area is about to be bombed? Yeah, I know, shocking, right? The Israeli Prime Minister's Office stated in reply: The HRC should be launching an investigation into Hamas's decision to turn hospitals into military command centers, use schools as weapons depots and place missile batteries next to playgrounds, private homes and mosques. Yeah, but Israel! Ozzie link. |
