| #4 I could swear I saw something about the embassy being evacuated, but perhaps they only meant dependents and such. Or was a rumour prematurely passed into publication by the editor. |

| #3 Having served in three embassies, and with the memory of Iran 1979 in mind, I sincerely doubt that the Marines would be ordered to defend the Baghdad complex against attackers. |

| #2 If our embassy is threatened with being over-run by ISIS, I have a serious question whether Champ will or can do anything about it. The time to have done something would have been when these guys were heading south in a column. |

| #1 Sojurs and Marines are icky. No connection made by regime btwn the threat and in-country U.S. personnel or largest embassy in the world. Benghazi, Khobar Towers, Nairobi redux. |
