| Ghardaia clashes erupt |

| [MAGHAREBIA] New clashes in Ghardaia injured 11 Algerian policemen, Tour sur l'Algerie reported on Sunday (June 8th). The latest violence broke out Friday in the Theniet El Makhzen neighbourhood. Vandalism, property destruction and street fights continued Saturday. Seven people have been killed and more than 400 wounded since December in the Ghardaia violence. Thousands of security officers were deployed around the city in a bid to restore order. |
