#3  On the 21st September 2013 it is International Peace Day. We are making an event called 'The Fallen' on the D-Day landing beach of Arromanches in northern France that illustrates what happens with the absence of peace.

Strikes me that these folks have it backwards. If Neville had had his way and "peace" had prevailed then this group would be painting millions of "star of Davids" assuming that the Nazis would have permitted it. Or am I missing something?

#2  How'd they go up that slope at Fredericksburg? The British learned that cost at Bunker Hill (and would forget it at New Orleans). Atkinson recounts the fumbles and bad choices in The Guns at Last Light. BTW, that's why the National Training Center and the Battle Command Training Program were set up in the 80s, so commanders and staff could learn their trade without butchering so many men.
