| Islamists threaten Mizdah doctors |

| [MAGHAREBIA] Islamists raided a hospital in Mizdah to prevent male doctors from treating women, Libya Herald reported on Wednesday (April 23rd). The assailants forced two male specialists in obstetrics and gynaecology to leave the hospital in the Nafusa region, some 190 kilometres southwest of Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... "People tried to intervene, but they were unable to stop the men," a Mizdah Local Council member said. "Now there are no specialist gynaecological doctors at the hospital and local people will have to travel to other towns and cities to receive treatment," the Mizdah official added. |
