#5  Three years later, affirmative action opponents persuaded Michigan voters to change the state constitution to outlaw any consideration of race.

They speak as if the voters were for Affirmitive Action before - I'm not sure of that was the case.

Yahoo news - not quite as biased as MNBC - but not for lack of trying...
