2014-04-17 |
[CBSNEWS] President B.O. put Russian President Vladimir Putin ...Second and fourth President of the Russian Federation and the first to remain sober. Putin is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from polonium poisoning. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to Putin. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead... on notice Wednesday evening, warning that further actions to destabilize the interim Ukrainian government will result in consequences from both the United States and Europe. In an interview with CBS News White House Correspondent Major Garrett , Mr. Obama said it was "absolutely clear" that Russia had violated Ukraine's illusory sovereignty and territorial integrity by annexing Crimea last month, and they continue to do so by supporting "non-state militias" in southern and eastern Ukraine. Still, the White House has not abandoned diplomatic solutions. Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you knowKerry Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, and current Secretary of State... traveled to Geneva Wednesday evening to prepare for four-party talks with European, Russian and Ukrainian officials. |

#13 "A State visit by Michelle and her Mother" I think that would be considered an act of war. If not when it was arranged, within a day after they got there. |

#11 One would think the loss of Netflix and the threat of a visit by 'No-Rent Robinson' would be enough to force Vlad to stand down. |

#6 The only consequences of Russian actions that, IMHO, will have any impact is that Zero and his demonrat party are totally repudiated. No, I don't think it will happen but I hope for the change. |

#3 So what will these 'consequences' be? Will the US make someone share in someone else's unpleasant fate? Will there be a roasting of stomachs? </sarc> |

#2 Consequences? Zero: "Another phone call, maybe? Yeah, that'll do it. This time for sure!" Putin's gotta be worn out from laughing by now. He should keep a loop recording of Nelson's "Ha, Ha!" by the phone. |
