| Roadblocks removed from Lower Shabelle |

| [Shabelle] Deputy Governor of the Lower Shabelle regional administration endorsing community spirit for the Somali Federal Government Omar Mohamud Elmi Arabey, highlighted that the troops serving under the region have removed the illegal roadblocks that were dumped in some districts under Lower Shabelle. Arabey spoke after the operations and mentioned that the regional administration was required to act upon the consistent complaints of the civilians living in Lower Shabelle. The Deputy Governor added that the operations will continue until all of the illegal checkpoints are removed in all towns and districts under the region. In the Lower Shabelle region, there have been numerous complaints from civilians and public transportation drivers criticizing the incompetence of the regional administration for not dealing with the people responsible for the checkpoints. |
