| Army Arrests 19 Syrians, 2 Lebanese in Wadi Khaled for Illegally Entering Lebanon |

[An Nahar] The Lebanese army announced on Monday that it has juggedPlease don't kill me! a number of Lebanese and Syrians for attempting to illegally enter Leb. It said in a statement that it detained the two Lebanese and 19 Syrians in the Wadi Khaled region near Syria in the North. It confiscated in their possession a Kalashnikov rifle, two guns, and ammunition. In addition, they were found in the possession of 30 mobile phones, a laptop, and different foreign currencies. Investigations are underway with the detainees. Since the eruption of the uprising in Syria in March 2011, security forces and the army have arrested a number of gunnies and individuals who sought to enter Leb illegally. The un-demarcated Lebanese-Syrian border has facilitated the flow of gunnies to and from Syria. |
