Arab interior ministers unite against terrorism |
2014-03-15 |
[MAGHAREBIA] The Council of Arab Interior Ministers on Thursday (March 13th) wrapped up a two-day session in Morocco with a call for member states to co-operate in the investigation, prosecution and extradition of terrorists. The Marrakech Anti-Terror Declaration included a condemnation of sectarian discourse and called for reinforcing border surveillance in order to deal with weapons trafficking and terrorist infiltration. All undertakings, the council agreed, are to uphold human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... and reinforce co-operation between security services, citizens, and civil society in the fight against terrorism. |
