[DAWN] Five people were maimed in two successive kabooms near Orangi Town's Mominabad cop shoppe on Saturday, DawnNews reported.According to police sources, the first attack was by a hand grenade hurled at a street vendor near the cop shoppe while the second kaboom which occurred within a few minutes was by a bomb planted at a taxi-stand.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the location of the blasts. Sources said five people, including a policeman, were maimed in the kabooms and four vehicles had also been damaged.
The injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Police sources said nuts, bolts and ball bearings were also found from the sites of the kabooms, adding that the bomb seemed to be planted and of low intensity.
Today's incident came a day after a senior officer of the Rangers was attacked by a jacket wallah in the city's Qayumabad area. The Rangers sector commander was going from the Defence Housing Authority to his office in the Nursery area when the suicide bomber aged about 20 years went
