| Mogadishu -- Somali security forces have conducted massive security operation in villages of MogadishuÂ’s Wadajir district after gunmen shot and killed a local elder in Nasteexo neighborhood of Wadajir, officials said. Speaking to Shabelle Media in Mogadishu, a deputy Commissioner in Wadajir for Somali GovÂ’t, Mohamud Saney Warsame said that GovÂ’t troops made door to door operation in the district, with security forces arrested dozens in connection with the killing of the elder.

This massive crackdown came after unknown assailants armed with pistols killed a well-known elder in MogadishuÂ’s Wadajir district. | |
