[An Nahar] The United States condemned "in the strongest terms possible" the recent terrorist bombings that targeted the northeastern town of Hermel and Shwaifat, south of Beirut. "We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and their families. It is reprehensible that the people of Leb have once again been subjected to these acts of terrorism," said State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki. "The Lebanese people should not have to live in fear as they conduct their daily lives," she said. "All parties in Leb must exercise restraint and refrain from contributing to the cycle of violence," Psaki told news hounds at the start of her briefing. |
