| #2 Same thing happened in Waxahatchee, Tx. Does anyone remember the 'Superconducting Supercollider'? Threw families off of farms they had been on for over a hundred years. Cancelled the project (it was Speaker Jim Wright's pet project), but nobody can get the land back. The chief use of the tunnel that they dug is paperwork storage and mushroom growing, which I think is a perfect metaphor for government projects. |
