| Gov't and Shaboobs clash in Jowhar |

| Jowhar -- News reports from Jowhar the capital town of the middle Shabelle region report that a heavy fighting between the Somali Government forces and Alshabab fighters took place last night at the outskirts of the agricultural town. The fighting sparked off when Alshabab fighters carried out attacks on a government base located few kilometers away from the town. The fighting is said to have caused both death and injury casualties but the number has not yet been established. |
