NBA Star Fined For Repeatedly Untieing Opponents Shoe Laces During Games
2014-01-10
The NBA has fined Knicks guard J.R. Smith $50,000 for "recurring instances of unsportsmanlike conduct" after he tried to untie an opponent's sneaker a second time.

Smith untied Mavericks forward Shawn Marion's shoe during a free throw attempt at Dallas on Sunday and was warned not to repeat the act by the league office.

Coach Mike Woodson had said before Tuesday's home game against Detroit that Smith shouldn't be doing things like that, but the reserve guard then tried it again on Greg Monroe during a free throw attempt _ with league disciplinarian Rod Thorn in attendance.

#3  Am I to understand he's doing this in public, before both teams, + the NBA = sporting audience, + being televised or recorded???

#2  Less than Lacrosse? Softball? Water Polo?

Plausible deniability but your comment stinks as racist.

Explain to me how NBA is less of a sport than Lacrosse, softball, & water polo. Nascar for that matter. Curling even.

I might be wrong and maybe you are just a sports hater.

#1  You have to be as soft in the head as Jack Nicholson to view NBA as a "sport"
