| [An Nahar] Sheikh Ahmed al-Asir, whose fate became uncertain after the army stormed his headquarters on June 24, resurfaced Thursday in an alleged audio message in which he described the deadly Sidon festivities as a plot aimed at ending his presence. He said he was fully aware that "a confrontation was being plotted" against his group because Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan "Nasrallah knew that he would lose a direct confrontation against us after he lost in (Syria's) Qusayr." |
