[Pak Daily Times] A senior traffic police official and his driver were rubbed out in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire.
on Monday, police said. "DSP Traffic Amanullah Khan was on his way home when unidentified motorcyclists ambushed his vehicle and opened fire. Resultantly, he and his driver sustained bullet wounds and was struck down in his prime", SSP Traffic Asif Iqbal told the media. "Khan was under threat form some time," Iqbal was quoted as saying. No group has so far grabbed credit for the killing. Police are investigating the incident as motives behind the killings could not be ascertained yet. Another senior Police Office Khalid Ameer Hamdani said often bully boyz were involved in such attacks on security forces but immediately nothing could be said about it.
