| Myanmar Imposes Emergency Rule as Death Toll Hits 20 |

| [An Nahar] Myanmar declared a state of emergency Friday for a riot-hit town where 20 people have been killed in Buddhist-Mohammedan violence that has sparked fears of spreading unrest. | #1 So, given the long memories and the long pent up resentments, is this some kind of payback for Tameralain, Soupy Sales, or the partition of India in 1948? I am sure the Moslems could find some long lost slight or insult to complain about. I am still surprised at our Buddhist friends, perhaps they have turned the other cheek enough. I guess the Moslems will learn that the payback for Jihad is a bitch. |
