Left begins justifying tyranny "it's for your own good": A positive review from the elite press
2013-02-26
Long, long. The short version is that the author dances around tyranny, carefully justifying it, and taking the mildest view of everything. They're putting John Stuart Mill on the chopping block. Of course, leftists' own liberty must be unrestrained as they will be the ones making choices for the rest of us.

The author is Cass Sunstein.

#12  Someone tries to take away everything I have worked and fought for, and tells me it is for my own good will get a .45 through the head. It is for their own good you know.

#11  The Liberal Christian slant on this has always been "its for the good of others!" Sorry, but we are at a point now when the adults MUST put the mask on first before they help others. The life guard MUST punch the lights out of the drowning man in order to save him.

#10  The problem is that the left believes their own B.S. for everybody else, but not themselves.

FTFY, John.

#8  Cass R. Sunstein is the author. That says enough. Tyranny is never justified; it is the absence of freedom.

Same rationale of the plantation owners, who happen to have a strong corollary with a particular political party.

#6  FOAD, Cass. And take wifeie and your minions (and all the rest of you grabby bastards) with you.

(QUESTION: If minions are your cronies below you, what are your cronies above you?)

#4  It's good to see the Borg getting involved in politics. Cass Sunstein makes a fine Locutus!

#3  Interesting. Cass Sunstein is married to Samantha Power. I didn't know that.
