#14  Obama decided??????????????????

#13  Toner in the immediate case, as I doubt Obama had anything to do with the imaginary change in policy towards Jordan, other than create the atmosphere of rampant idiocy and aimlessness that Toner is operating within.

And if Biden has *anything* to do with *anything* diplomatic, that's grounds for impeachment right there. Come to think of it, his sole purpose in government right now *is* impeachment insurance - nobody could possibly want to impeach Obama if it meant "President Biden".

#12  Presuming that the Bammer is, or will, do so - in exchange for what???

For nearly the same results that the Obama administration got in Egypt.

#10  Mitch, are you speaking of Toner, or Obama and Biden ?

#9  "Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from actual malice." In short, I don't actually think this is deliberate policy. Just pure stupidity marinating in a thick sauce of carelessness, incompetence, and lack of oversight and attention. It's amazing what horrors can come out of the mouths of the privileged when nobody truly cares to hold them accountable for their horseshit.

#8  King Ab is no fool. He has many, many friends and is well trained in counterinsurgency warfare.

#7  Yes NS, and if that proved unsuccessful, we could always train and arm battalions of the disaffected in Florida... send them in, and promise close air suppor if the going gets rough.

#6  Perhaps a Diem style assassination would satisfy his JFKness.

#5  Toner should be fired or worse! The entire region is a power keg. Wreckless comments like this end up costing people their very lives. Why can we not simply keep our mouths shut and stay out of other people's business ?

#3  I was curious when Jordan would come into play. Next will be the Saudi.
