#10  There is a line in the movie Zulu I think of...

Zulu was a great deception of Battle of Rorke's Drift. I caught it as one of the History Channel's 'Movies in Time' back when they were still interested in actual history.

#9  Didn't they say much the same thing about the wall?

Me - I think the U.N. will try to ban use of Iron Dome.

#8  I dislike the thesis of this article -- that Israel is seen as the aggressor in this conflict because its citizens aren't dying.

That wasn't the thesis. That was the description of the perception. This is more the thesis:

To put it succinctly, Hamas is doing its best to kill any and all of us in Israel, while cynically seeking to protect itself from attack by emplacing its offensive capacity among GazaÂ’s often unwitting civilians. And Israel is doing its best to prevent its citizens being killed, while trying to thwart the attacks without harming GazaÂ’s civilians. ThereÂ’s the relevant asymmetry... Now that weÂ’ve found a means to reduce that threat, you can be 100 percent certain that our enemies are even now seeking new means to overcome those fiendish ZionistsÂ’ latest life-saving innovation.

Of course, he rather wrecks it by assuming that a settlement can be structured to make it more difficult for the Hamas capos and their goons to operate.

#7  Well if its a miracle, is a five battery advanced anti-missile system miracle.

With some guts behind it.

#5  There is a line in the movie Zulu I think of, and I will try not to mangle it too much, "See that chap on the side of the hill? He is counting your rifles. Measuring your firepower with the lives of his men."

#3  The Arab are a very superstitious lot. We should start some rumors of a Kwisatz Haderach or Kefitzat Haderech. Muad'Dib Dune like figure. Battlefield of the mind. Just don't believe it yourself.

#2  I dislike the thesis of this article -- that Israel is seen as the aggressor in this conflict because its citizens aren't dying.

1. Israel will always be portrayed as the aggressor. Nothing Israel does will change that. Even if they are all slaughtered by Paleos the story will be told with Israel as the bad guy.

2. Holding your own citizens hostage to foreign aggressors and terrorists is not the first world path toward better press. It is a tool of the weak, and Israel must never be weak.

#1  Foresight,leadership and the will produces this sort of result. This should be allowed to flourish.
Regan was our point man but he had to fight too many foes.
