In a similar incident in the same vicinity, wife of Said Karim and daughter of Haji Mohammad were critically injured when a mortar shell fell on the house of Mr Karim.

In Kohat district, unidentified forces of Evil made a failed attempt

to target a patrolling party of police in Shadikhel area on Saturday.
The officials of Bomb Disposal Squad said that forces of Evil had planted a time device weighing five kilograms along the road near Algada area in the limits of Shadikhel checkpost. At the time of the blast, the post in-charge, Anwar Shah, and six constables were patrolling the area in a vehicle.
Police said that as soon as the vehicle approached the area the bomb went
kaboom!but nobody was hurt in the blast.
However,

the vehicle was partially damaged in the kaboom.
Police cordoned of the whole area and launched a search operation after the incident but didn't arrest anyone. Police started the paperwork but haven't done much else against unidentified terrorists.
